V-SHIFT is a poltextLAB project led by Miklós Sebők, supported by the Momentum (Lendület) Programme of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. These are the people who build and run it.

Barbara Babolcsay
Data analyst
Builds and curates the project's text corpora and commissions the fine-tuned classifiers behind them. Presented the group's codebook-creation work at the 2026 Bratislava Methods Workshop.
Zoé Baumgartner
IT coordinator
Coordinates the group's research infrastructure and data-collection workflows, and prepares the open deposits that accompany the project's publications.
Richárd Lehoczki
Infrastructure engineer
Has run the Babel Machine's servers, databases and deployments since 2023 — the classification backend, the model-serving machines and the data warehouse. Co-author of the Babel Machine paper in Social Science Computer Review.
